I tend to steer away from bright colors and stick with blacks, navys and beiges. As of late, I’ve been really wanting to try different looks and boy am I happy I tried this one. Say hello to yellow, my new favorite color to wear. How beautiful is this one-shoulder, lace number with nude lining? It is absolutely gorgeous. The lace, the detail, the structure and the way it falls on the body is perfection personified and I could not get enough of it. Hence, the many close ups. I am really into detail and love feminine pieces. This one did not disappoint. In fact, it went above and beyond my expectations as the ruffles are soft enough to fall gracefully over the chest, but heavy enough to stop the outside occurrences (AKA wind) from blowing them out of place…unto my face and into my lipstick. This happens more than I care to admit, so I’m very cautious when purchasing ruffles and flowy pieces. I never want to be constantly fixing my clothes or worrying if they will remain in tact. I like to put them on and enjoy wherever I am at the moment.
When putting this look together, I toned down the bottoms with an ivory denim and nude shoes, but added statement earrings (with matching bracelet) for that wow factor!! This look is perfect for a dinner date (when you want to keep the blacks and blues in the closet), Sunday brunch with the girls or just a day out on the town. In which case, I’d recommend a shoe that has a shorter heel (<3 inches).
Today’s pick: the perfect yellow lace, ruffled, one-shoulder with ivory frayed hem denim, nude block heel sandals in suede and turquoise colored statement accessories.
