Mad About Plaid

I literally live for new ways of finding great fashions. So upon a recent visit to Perimeter Mall, I stumbled upon Molly Green, a relatively new fashion boutique in the metro Atlanta area (stores now open at Perimeter and North Point malls). I love their motto, which is… a boutique dedicated to “inspiring you to be your truest self.” Those words (and a pair of plaid paper bag pants) were definitely enough to peak my interest. I stopped in and was more than pleasantly surprised (because we never know what to expect in new boutiques, right?). Well, I immediately fell in love with the store, from the excited welcome from the staff, to the great music and atmosphere to the stylish displays. It’s a beautiful store with lots of beautiful things.

So when the chance came for me to partner with Molly Green, I jumped on it. Here are a few reasons why: it doesn’t cater to the one-and-done trends. Rather, I found beautiful pieces that will be stylish for years to come. For all who know me, know that’s numero uno on my list. Numero dos (hope I’m impressing you with my Spanish) is quality, because I’m a firm believer in quality over quantity. I enjoy seeing my dollars stretch and get overly annoyed when I pay for anything that doesn’t stick around until I’m ready for it not to. Lastly, (or should I say finalmente) I need pieces that don’t make me look as if I’m ashamed of my age. Molly Green came through on all tres (okay, I’m done…putting away the Spanish dictionary now). But seriously, I loved the store and while you might see teens and 20 somethings running around there, don’t fret, there’s something for all ages.

Just look at these plaid paper bag pants. Aren’t they perfect? I know, they were what initially drew me into the store. They have a beautiful rust, blue and black pattern that screams fall. The great thing about them is you can wear them now (while it’s still 80 degree weather) and not feel compelled to stay indoors–in the air conditioning. The material is lightweight and flows and I love how they fall on my body AND how I can wear a decent heel and not have to worry about having an Urkel moment.

And what about this off-the-shoulder top? Yassssss!! We all know that I love a great OTS and this one was just so perfect: the fold over and the full-length sleeves are so good. But the lace-up back detail is just the icing on the cake. With a few accessory changes, this look can take me from day to night and I love that as well. Speaking of accessories, they also have accessories AND shoes at Molly Green. Really good accessories and shoes.

The timing couldn’t be any better for you as both Molly Green locations are having their grand opening event this Saturday, October 7th with hourly giveaways from 12-6 p.m. and free grab bags for the first 50 people who walk through their doors. So ladies, go and check them out if you haven’t already. I think you will be happy you did.

Today’s pick: plaid paper bag pants with a black fold over off-the-shoulder long sleeve shirt and suede and PVC heels with a bracelet box bag.

I would like to thank Molly Green @mg.perimeter for partnering on this post.
