It’s no secret that I love neutral palettes. But every now and then I get the urge for bold color. When I do, I always go for yellow or anything in the yellow family. Summer is always a good time to show some color so when I had the opportunity to collaborate with & Other Stories, I jumped at the chance.
Yellow also looks really good on anyone. From the fairest to the darkest, yellow not only looks great on any complexion, but it gives an instantaneous glow.
I love that this slip dress comes in the prettiest shade of yellow and that it flows so effortlessly. I also love the intricate details…the fit and flow hem, cinched waist seaming, the front slit and those perfect little monochromatic dots spread over the entire dress. I’m a sucker for detail and this little number left no stones unturned. So. Much. Fun!
What I also love about this dress is that it will look great on any size. The belt helps with the illusion of a smaller waist and the adjustable straps allow for so much leeway (think to show cleavage or not to show cleavage!).
So if you’re looking for the perfect LCD (little colorful dress) keep in mind that yellow, particularly this color yellow, is a great start. There will be absolutely nothing mellow about it!
