I love camouflage prints, I love neutral colors, I love tailored looks so this was a no brainer. My only thing was what type of top would I wear. I knew I wanted black, but wasn’t sure if I wanted a tank or a one shoulder. When I was doing a little closet cleaning, I stumbled upon this fold over that I knew was the one (don’t you love it when that happens?). I knew it was great because it automatically gave a feminine and classic vibe to the camo. It also tucks well to show off the paper bag gathered top and draw string. Hello!!
Then it was time for shoes and I wanted to give a feminine and masculine look with shoes to balance out the feminine top and somewhat masculine pants. We should all be thinking about fall fashion. I know it’s really too hot, but we should. So I pulled out the open toe (very important) button-up beige suede bootie. This was perfect in that the beige helped with keeping this outfit a true transitional look (a combo of summer and fall details). I think black shoes would have pushed this look into October, even November so I stayed with beige which is perfect for August.
Let me not forget to mention that these pants are part linen so they aren’t heavy at all. They are loose enough but maintain their structure. I wore them all day and stayed pretty cool. I definitely looked cool. And if you want to rock a cool, causal, transitional look that will have your friends thinking you got taller, now is the time. Find these (or similar ones) with a high waist, belt and fun all-over print.
Today’s pick: linen camo print paper bag pants with fold over shirt and beige sued open-toe booties.
