If you have been following me, you know that I am all about sets this season, especially matching sets. It used to be taboo and considered uncreative to be match-matchy when styling. We felt that looks HAD to have some element of surprise or the I-would-have-never-put-that-together-but-it-looks-so-good element. Well, that has changed as one of the biggest trends for spring and summer is the matching set.

Don’t get me wrong, I do love that element of surprise, but I also love a structured look that just allows a smooth, easy flow. You know, one that looks effortless, but looks so undeniably good.

I went with this cotton-linen blend red and white striped set that is lightweight and fitted. I love the button details on the top and bottom and the flattering stripes. While I don’t normally do cropped tops, I had to have this set–not only for the steal of a deal (under $25)–but I knew I wanted to layer it and add a blazer while it’s still cool in the mornings and nights.

Today’s picks: striped matching set with white linen blazer, a red netted bag and beige suede slides.
