I recently attended the Von Maur Annual Beauty Trend Show at the Mall of Georgia. While I knew it would be a great event based on their reputation, I didn’t know just how great it would be. It had all the ambiance we’ve come to expect from Von Maur: top brand selections, inviting atmosphere and friendly/knowledgeable staff.
They went above and beyond (DJ, hors d’ oeuvres, drinks, giveaways, white clothed seating, etc.) to treat us while educating us on the best beauty products around. Here are my five faves:
First up: Bobbi Brown Hydrating Face Tonic Toner
If you’re not using a toner, stop reading this now, run and get one (I suggest this one) and start using it. It helps with hydration as well as helps tightens pores while removing excess dirt. And the smell, it is divine. I use it after cleaning my face before applying moisturizer right before bed. I wake up to smooth, refreshed skin.
Number two: Clarins Lip Comfort Oil
With winter right around the corner, I am always looking for ways to keep my lips moisturized. I’ve found plenty of products for face and body, but not (great ones) for lips. This conditions and treats lips and can be used over night or during the day as a lip primer or lip gloss. It helps prevent the cracked lips look that none of us want.
Number three: Clarins Refreshing Hydration Mask
I’m all about hydration, especially in the fall and winter and this little 10-minute, blue cream mask (with the help of leaf of life) replenishes lost moisture. I’m getting ahead of the cold temps by using it now. I love the smell and feel and love the dewy look of my skin after I use it.
Number four: Bobbi Brown Highlighting Powder
I’ve been looking for a highlighter that isn’t too shiny and one that doesn’t disappear after a few minutes of wear. This one from Bobbi Brown is it. I love the subtlety that truly is a highlighter and not a flashlight. Just a few dusts over the cheeks and I have “that glow” for hours on end.
Number five: Estee Lauder Double Wear Radiant Concealer
For brighter eyes, I need products that conceal AND contour. This cream concealer blends easily to cover dark circles. For easier application, it comes with a two-in-one applicator that is angled for concealing and a tip for pinpointing the areas that need extra coverage.
I am so happy to have attended the Von Maur Beauty Trend Show. One can never have enough skin care knowledge or products.
