Resort Wear from Von Maur for my Three-Day Getaway to Sea Island

One of my favorite places to get away is just a four-hour drive from my hometown. And any chance I get to visit, I jump. It’s a place that makes me feel that I’m far away from the hustle and bustle of Atlanta. A place that I can relax, enjoy a Forbes Five Star meal, walk on the beach, unwind in a Forbes Five Star spa, bike ride under live oaks and Spanish moss, lounge by one of the three swimming pools and so much more.

When it’s time to visit Sea Island, my only concern is what to take to wear. I have Perimeter Von Maur to thank for making that part easy. I partnered with my favorite place for complete looks and had the best time while on my mini-vacay.

My first look is a T-shirt dress from Eileen Fisher. While this resort personifies luxury and elegance, the T-shirt dress was perfect for walking the grounds, the beach and having lunch al fresco. But it wouldn’t be me if I didn’t add some lux-resort-worthy accessories, like this Marc Jacobs canvas tote, the PVC wedges and a classic pair of oversized sunglasses.

Each time I go to Sea Island, I have to enjoy a bike ride around the resort. The weather was a perfect 69 degrees and surprisingly the crowd was the smallest I’d ever seen since visiting, which I didn’t complain as I rode around the resort footloose and fancy free, in my fave resort look–a Free People eyelet, puff-sleeve shirt. Be sure to zoom in to see the beautiful details, like the blue ribbon and perfectly placed eyelets. I paired the shirt with denim cut-offs and a pair of espadrilles.

The next day was reserved for pool time and even though the temps didn’t surpass 70 degrees, it didn’t matter because the heated pool onsite was perfect for me to take a dip, ahem, show off my swimsuits. I always like to take a one-piece and a bikini on vacations. It just depends on how I feel and this particular time, I felt like wearing both. How can you say no to a black one-piece or this zebra-print coverup?

And let’s not even talk about the aqua blue color and details of this high-waisted two piece from BECCA.

For lunch, I went with a sheer, floral puff sleeve top and linen draw-string pants. It’s always tricky to dress at Sea Island during the day. I want to look super put together, but I also want to exude resort-ready style. This outfit served both needs. The shirt is very dressy and glam and the relaxed linen pants were perfect. I added leopard calf-hair sandals and a wooden handbag to take the look up a notch.

I call this my resort-lux-look. I didn’t feel overdressed and I certainly didn’t feel underdressed. It was the perfect look for an outdoor lunch by the water. I love the neutral pieces together and received so many questions and compliments on the mixture of fabrics and textures.

From beach to pool to lunch while experiencing a little slice of heaven on earth, I loved all of my looks and felt they were perfectly styled. I am so glad I was able to partner with Perimeter Von Maur, where I could put together head to toe looks from some of the best brands out there. There’s nothing better than being able to dress the part in a place that is all about style and elegance.

I’ve been to Sea Island a few times and I’m never disappointed. This time was no different, especially since my stress levels were at an all-time low. I didn’t have to worry about what to take and if I had enough. I did. Resort styling has never been so easy. What’s your biggest stressor when it comes to preparing for vacation? Is it what to do or what to wear or both? For me it’s 90% what to wear and 10% what to do.

This blog post was done in partnership with Perimeter Von Maur. However, all opinions are those of my own. #vonmaur #pmvonmaur #shoppingperfected #resortstyles
