On my last visit to Ageless Remedies of Roswell (ARR) for a HydraFacial, my daughter, Peyton was so impressed with my results, she asked if she could visit. I didn’t think twice as I knew it was much needed for her skin and our QT together. We don’t get out much nowadays, but since I feel 100% comfortable with the safety precautions that ARR take, I was so excited to schedule our first ever mommy/daughter facial…me a HydraFacial and her a Teen Facial. But first things first, SAFETY. Upon arrival, we had on our masks and so did the staff (it’s required) and they took our temperature with six feet of distance between us. Front desk communication is done behind partitions and the staff was amazing as always. They are very knowledgeable and always the sweetest.
Angela was our aesthetitian and she was so great with explaining the procedures as well as what she found would work best for our skin. It was very reassuring for Peyton, because while she was so excited with having a facial, she was still a bit concerned about the results. Would it work, would she see a difference, etc. I’m not sure why we waited so long for her to have a facial because developing healthy skin practices, like regular facials, not only helps slow the aging process, but it helps maintain healthy, glowing skin. The teen facial is a great way to address skin concerns and to start working on them early. And what better place to do it than in a safe, relaxing spa.
So we started with the steam cleanse, which is one of my favorites. There is just something so relaxing about having warm steam lightly cover your face as you lie down and relax. It has to be very similar to floating on clouds. It just has to be. In addition to the soothing feeling, it also has many other benefits like promoting circulation, collagen and elastin, and opens the pores to help the skin absorb skin care products more easily.
Peyton’s Teen Facial was custom made with extractions based on what Angela thought would be best for her skin. Angela focused on cleansing, decongesting and hydrating the skin for a natural glow.
Then I received my regular, the HydraFacial. It’s one of the best things you can do for your skin because it removes dead skin cells and extracts impurities while at the same time bathes the new skin with cleansing, hydrating and moisturizing serums. The great thing is it’s non-irritating and the results are immediate.
Peyton and I both enjoyed Dermaplaning (gently scraping the top layer of dull, dead skin cells) as part of our facial. I had had it before, but it was Peyton’s first time and she absolutely loved it. The results were amazing and seeing all the dead skin and facial hair, or in Peyton’s case, peach fuzz, was eye opening. This also helps with improving the absorption and effectiveness of the skincare products and other procedures, drenching the skin with moisture.
The end result was…well, see for yourselves. As always, (we) loved the results. This time Peyton not only loved mine, but hers too.
Peyton is now addicted, like me. And I’m glad we can do mom/daughter spa visits now. This is great because one can never start too early taking great care of the skin. She understands more about the right skin care products to use (i.e. scrubs, exfoliants, moisturizers, etc.) and I’m so happy she had the opportunity to do so with me at Ageless Remedies of Roswell, my favorite place for great skincare in a relaxing and intimate environment.
