Nothing says fall fashion quite like that of a sweater dress and boot combo. I mean it’s still warm enough to go without a coat, but cool enough to need a heavier fabric. That’s why sweater dresses are so perfect.
I love how sweater dresses are making a comeback and not just the straight turtleneck kinds. Don’t get me wrong, I love those too, but you know I love some fun, feminine details. They don’t have to be over the top, just fun with some dimension, like this off-the-shoulder camel colored, ribbed mini from Banana Republic.
It’s Banana so you know the quality is great and the style is classic which makes it an immediate closet staple. Also it’s very affordable. I actually found an almost identical dress from another brand that was four times the price. I really wanted the dress but didn’t want to spend that much. And wouldn’t you know it, a trip to BR and I got this one for under $75 on sale. Definitely a steal!!
I love the off-the-shoulder drape and the fact that it’s a mini, which gives a bit off sexiness, but not over-the-top in your face. It’s more of a modern take on a classic go-to.
I couldn’t decide if I wanted to go with matching bag and boots, so I chose two of my favorite colors to wear with camel (maroon and cream) to accessorize. I also went with gold jewelry which pops against the camel color. And I decided my large chunky link chain would be perfect to enhance the neckline.
And let me not forget about the ease of movement in this dress. It has a relaxed cut/fit so it moves with you. You do not feel restricted at all. But please don’t think that means it’s just a casual dress because it’s not. This beauty can take you from brunch to a night out and you will definitely stand out!!
