Brunch Like A Queen at King + Duke

Hey my fellow Sunday brunchers!!! Lean in. Closer. Closer. I want to let you in on a little secret. Ever heard of King + Duke?  Well, I hadn’t until last Sunday.

With Sunday brunching being one of my all-time favorite things to do in Atlanta, I don’t know how I have been missing out on this one.   Shame on me, where have I been, I can’t believe I’ve missed so much yumminess…but I digress.

I tried King + Duke for the first time and found out quickly why it has  received accolades such as “One of the Best Restaurants of the Year” and  “Atlanta’s Highlights.” From their 24-foot open hearth to their excellent drink selection (ask for a Mimosa) to their old-age décor, the place is absolutely amazing…and comfortable.  Also good for children. The staff wears jeans, but don’t let the casual attire fool you.  They are top-notch in every aspect of dining–attentive, knowledgeable and most importantly, punctual.

The brunch menu is expansive. You can have anything from yogurt and granola to steak and eggs to a homemade burger.  Of course, there’s your typical bacon, eggs and biscuits, but there are things on the menu that I’ve never heard of and I like trying unfamiliar things (i.e. Dutch baby).  Next time Dutch baby, next time.

I would be remiss if I left out the scrumptious cinnamon rolls and the warm glazed doughnuts.  Hungry yet?  Well do yourself a favor and make reservations for this Sunday. You won’t be disappointed.  Highlights:  oversized cinnamon rolls, warm glazed doughnuts, brunch burger and their spinach and mushroom quiche (refer to picture).
